THE 2 SET OF QUESTIONS I HAVE POSTED TODAY ARE FOR PRACTICE.  THE CLASSWORK SUMS HAVE A DUE DATE AS THEY  ARE MENTIONED IN THE CLASS. THE SUMS IN THE BLOG ARE FOR MORE PRACTICE. THEY DO NOT HAVE A DUE DATE, BUT, IT WOULD BE GOOD IF YOU PRACTICE THE SUMS AS THEY ARE BEING DONE IN CLASS. IF THE TOPIC HAS BEEN FINISHED IN CLASS, PRACTICE THEM IN YOUR FREE TIME SO THAT THEY CAN HELP YOU REVISE AND REVIEW YOUR UNDERSTANDING.

4. What is the L.C.M of 342, 54 and 36  and the H.C. F of 434, 56, 78

5. (a) What is the  capacity of the smallest drum which can be filled completely using each of the mugs that can fill 75 ml, 200 ml, and 140 ml ?  
    (b) There are 4 poles measuring 105 cm, 120 cm, 125 cm and 140 cm. If they have to be arranged into pieces of equal length, what is the maximum length they have to be cut into?

Out of the total strength of 168 students in a school 2/3 were boys and 1/2 of the girls lived in the hostel.      (2) Lily earned Rs 2220 and gave 30 % of it to her mother every month. How much did she give her

     (3) Rani withdrew 5 % of her savings from an ATM. She spent 75 % of it to buy a computer and had Rs

     (4)  Challenge Question: 60 % of the fish in a tank were goldfish and the remaining 96 fish were
      guppies. 70 % of the total number of fish were sold. If there were 1/3 as many gold fish  as guppies  
            left, how many guppies were there?
